Title 8: Transfers and Reserves
ARP R&R Title 8
This section speaks on the terms of department transfer request. A transfer refers to a member who wishes to take their certification of Human Resources to another department within Auspire Roleplay.
Section 8.1 Right to Transfer
If any member is not satisfied with their current department, that said member reserves the right to request a transfer into a different department of their choice.
Section 8.2 Submission of Transfer
In order to transfer from one department to another department, the member must submit a transfer request via the website (https://auspireroleplay.com). The transfer request must be accepted by the chain of command of the department they're currently departing from, and the department the member is submitting a transfer to.
Section 8.3 Transfer Wait-Time
Members transferring from one department to another must wait thirty (30) days before requesting another transfer request (unless given Community Management, Head Administration, approval).
i.e. If you submit a transfer request to the Civilian Operations department from the Los Santos Police Department, you must wait thirty (30) days of the submission date to request a new trasnfer into another department.
Section 8.4 Definition of a: Lateral Transfer
A lateral transfer occurs when both department administrators agree to place a member into an equivalent rank within the department they wish to transfer to. This type of transfer requires approval from both departments.
If a lateral transfer is not approved by a department administrator, both administrators may engage in a verbal discussion to reach a fair agreement regarding the member’s new rank. If they are unable to reach a resolution, the discussion can be escalated to the department heads, who will work together to determine an appropriate rank.
If a decision still cannot be reached, the Community Coordinator may step in to mediate the situation and assist in facilitating a fair vote regarding the member’s transfer.
A lateral transfer request specifically means that the member is placed at the same rank they currently hold at the time of the transfer request. This requires approval from both departments. If an agreement is not reached, both department administrations have the right to open discussions to either:
a. Determine a mutually agreed-upon rank for the member, or b. Escalate the matter for further review.
Section 8.5 Definition of a: Non-Lateral Transfer
A non-lateral transfer occurs when a member transfers to another department but does not retain their current rank. Instead, their new rank is determined based on the needs of the receiving department and their qualifications. This type of transfer requires approval from both department administrators.
If a non-lateral transfer is not approved by a department administrator, both administrators may engage in a verbal discussion to determine a fair rank for the transferring member. If they are unable to reach an agreement, the matter can be escalated to the department heads for further discussion and resolution.
Should the department heads also fail to come to a decision, the Community Coordinator may intervene to mediate the situation and assist in facilitating a fair vote regarding the member’s placement.
A non-lateral transfer ensures that the member is assigned a position that aligns with the structure and requirements of the receiving department, rather than automatically retaining their previous rank.
Section 8.6 Transfer Requirements
To proceed with a: Lateral Transfer, the following requirements must be met:
No previous DAs (Disciplinary Actions) within the 30 days prior to the lateral transfer request.
